BEIJING, Dec. 6 (Xinhua) -- NO.75097 China-Europe freight train, loaded with goods in 50 40-foot containers, departed from Wuwei South Railway Station in Gansu province to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, which marks the first freight train linking Gansu with Tbilisi.

The train mainly carries epidemic prevention materials, auto parts and LCD screens, with a total cargo weight of 625 tons valuing 27.6 million yuan.
After a 10-day trip via Aktau port of Kazakhstan and Baku port of Azerbaijan, the train will finally arrive in Tbilisi. The total distance is 7,360 kilometers.
In order to ensure the smooth operation of the train, relevant department such as China Railway Lanzhou Group Co.,Ltd, Wuwei Bonded Logistics Center and Lanzhou Freight Center have strengthened collaboration and opened up a green transportation channel for the cargo.
The train is the first China-Europe freight train to Georgia with a domestic train operating company as the main body. It opens up a new cross-border land-sea combined transport channel for trans-Caspian sea and Black sea shipment from Gansu.
