BEIJING, Sept. 28 (Xinhua) -- China will introduce more policies to support the high-quality development of private enterprises, reported Economic Information Daily Tuesday.
The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and other related authorities have recently stressed to enhance support for private enterprises, including further improving the business environment, guiding private enterprises to participate in related mixed-ownership reform, supporting innovative development of private enterprises, and cultivating high-quality enterprises.
Many local governments are also taking measures to improve the overall strength and core competitiveness of private enterprises.
Central China's Hunan Province will focus on formulating related policies and building related platforms to promote healthy and innovative development of private enterprises, creating a strong business-friendly atmosphere, and forging a team of high-quality entrepreneurs in the new era.
Shenyang, a prefecture-level city in northeast China's Liaoning Province, has proposed in its 14th Five-Year Plan for the development of private economy to back up private enterprises in industrial transformation and upgrading, integration into scientific and technological innovation, sustainable development, and export-oriented development.
It aims at realizing the goals that by 2025, the added value of its private economy will account for about 50 percent of its GDP, the annual average growth rate of private economic market players will reach about 10 percent, and private scientific and technological enterprises will account for more than 90 percent of the total number of such enterprises in the city.
Private enterprises in China are moving faster in high-quality development. According to the latest data from the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the total revenue of China's top 500 private enterprises in 2020 recorded 35.12 trillion yuan, up 16.39 percent, with the total assets up 37.25 percent to 50.73 trillion yuan and the after-tax net profits up 41.40 percent to 1.97 trillion yuan.
Data showed that among these enterprises, 13 each saw an operating revenue of over 300 billion yuan, 98 each saw a total asset of over 100 billion yuan, and 31 thronged the Fortune Global 500 list.
Besides, the key technologies of 394 of them mainly come from independent development and research, and 409 of them have completed the transformation of scientific and technological achievements with self-raised funds. About 90 percent of them have implemented or plan to implement digital transformation.
According to the report on China's top 500 private enterprises in 2021, 354 of these enterprises have participated in the rural vitalization strategy, 246 in the construction of new infrastructure, new urbanization, and transportation, water conservancy and other major projects, 183 in the mixed-ownership reform, and 350 in the coordinated regional development strategy.
