BEIJING, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Industrial enterprises above designated size in north China's Hebei Province achieved a total profit of 166.78 billion yuan, an increase of 59.9 percent year on year from January to July this year, statistics from provincial bureau of statistics showed.
In the first seven months of this year, Hebei's industrial enterprises above designated size achieved operating income of 2,883.96 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 29.0 percent, with incurred operating costs of 2,515.03 billion yuan, an increase of 28.5 percent.
During the period, among the 39 major industrial sectors counted in the province, total profit of 24 industries increased over the same period of last year, and 4 industries turned losses into profits. Specifically, profit of special equipment manufacturing industry increased by 2.71 times, while that of chemical raw materials and chemistry product manufacturing industry increased by 86.7 percent.
As of the end of July, the assets of industrial enterprises above designated size totaled 5,330.21 billion yuan in the province, a year-on-year increase of 9.3 percent, while their owners' equity totaled 2,112.92 billion yuan, an increase of 10 percent.
