BEIJING, Aug. 26 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) will quicken the pace to issue the plan for development of the big data industry in the 14th Five-Year Plan period from 2021 to 2025, according to the ministry on Wednesday.
To better promote development of the big data industry, the ministry will make efforts to promote the establishment of basic systems and standards for data resource property rights, transaction circulation, and data supervision.
It will also support Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou Province, and other regions to build and improve data trading platforms, which will help the country accumulate experience for establishment of the data transaction market mechanism and system.
In addition, the MIIT will accelerate the improvement of data competition rules. For example, it will strive to promote the establishment of a data element market mechanism featuring market-oriented pricing and government supervision, and develop market operation systems such as data asset evaluation, registration and settlement, transaction matching, and dispute arbitration.
