BEIJING, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- Deals involving 92 major projects with a total contract amount of more than 250 billion yuan were signed on Monday at the Smart China Expo 2021 held in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality.
Among 92 projects, 32 projects with a total investment of 101.6 billion yuan were related to intelligent manufacturing, and 20 were digital economy projects with a total investment of 42.8 billion yuan.
The signing of the deals is the latest achievement made in the Smart China Expo, which is designated to serve as an important platform for strengthening the opening up and cooperation of the international smart industry.
The fruitful outcome came as Chongqing has launched a series of investment attraction campaigns since the start of this year, with focus on bolstering strategic emerging industries such as next generation information technology, consolidating electronics and other pillar industries, and boosting modern service sectors including digital economy, according to an official with the Chongqing Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau.
