BEIJING, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- China's top three mobile operators report steady growth in operating revenues in the first half of 2021, the Xinhua-run Economic Information Daily reported on Monday.
According to the report, China Mobile, China Telecom and China Unicom saw combined revenues amount to 827 billion yuan in the first half of this year.
5G investment and construction are still the main task of Chinese telecom operators.
It is learned that China Mobile was expected to invest 110 billion yuan in 5G field this year, with some 501,000 5G base stations in operation by the end of June.
China Telecom and China Unicom have worked together to advance network co-construction and sharing. From January to June, the two operators have a total of 460,000 5G base stations in use and provided 5G services across first-tier cities in China.
