BEIJING, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- A document has recently been released to woo talents in urgent need for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the People's Daily Overseas Edition reported Tuesday.
The document is contributed by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security as a key talent promoting project for the the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
With more than 330,000 talents wanted in 58,000 positions, the document focused on the area's development of 7 strategic emerging industries such as information technology and high-end equipment manufacturing, as well as 18 key industries including manufacturing and construction.
Manufacturing industry requires the largest number of talents, accounting for more than half of the total demand while product developer, channel manager and software engineer are top three most urgently wanted positions, the document showed.
It is noted that skilled workers will be the most welcomed talents in the next 3 to 5 years, accounting for nearly 50 percent of the total demand, followed by professionals taking up one third of the total.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is composed of nine cities in Guangdong Province including Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, and two special administrative regions of Hong Kong and Macao.
