InfoQuest (Aug. 16, 2021) -- According to Mr. Thosapol Thangsubutr, Director of the Department of Business Development (DBD) of the Ministry of Commerce, DBD is updating the legal person information database to facilitate relevant inquires and contain frauds and profit-making during corporate legal person registration.
The Bangkok Partnership Registration Office has removed 10,810 Bangkok-based partnerships from the legal person registration list. To promote the practice, DBD, together with commercial offices in various provinces, reviewed legal entities headquartered in provinces except for Bangkok.
Among the delisted partnership, 5,795 failed to submit financial statements for three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019, and 5,015 cancelled registration but had no liquidator, or liquidation report, or did not go through liquidation registration with the registration authority within 3 years from the date of dissolution.
These disqualified enterprises may defend themselves within 90 days from the date of the announcement, or file a complaint with the court within 10 years from the date of delisting to regain their legal personality.
Information on these enterprises is available at the website of DBD (www.dbd.go.th)andthe DBD Service application software.
"DBD updates the legal person information database every year to improve the credibility of legal person information, thereby preventing frauds and urging legal business operation. When a business entity discontinues operation, it shall complete liquidation and cancel registration according to law," said Mr. Thosapol Thangsubutr.
