BEIJING, Aug. 6(Xinhua) -- A freight train loaded with industrial products, electronic equipment, clothes and hatson Wednesday morning departed from Dongguan Changping Station, destined for Duisburgin Germany. This has been the 200th China-Europe freight train set out from the Greater Bay Area this year, reported People's Daily.

Since the beginning of this year, the Greater Bay Area has launched China-Europe freight train routes to carry 10,079 TEUs of goods to 15 different destinations in Central Asia, Russia, Hungary, Germany, Poland, and Lithuania.
The number of freight train trips set out from the Great Bay Area increased by 83.4 percent year-on-year, a historic record high.
As of the end of July this year, the Greater Bay Area saw one China-Europe freight train set off daily on average. The total number of China-Europe freight train trips starting form Guangdong will likely exceed the previously estimated 340 this year, said relevant person in charge of Guangzhou freight center.
