InfoQuest (May 31, 2021) - Accoridng to Dr. Jadej Thammatach-aree, Secretary-General of National Health Security Office of Thailand, the Office will propose to raise the COVID-19 vaccination health service fee from 20 baht to 40 baht on June 7 to boost morale of medical staff.
The expenditure of vaccination service fee is granted by the Act on Allowing the Ministry of Finance to Loan to Solve Economic and Social Problems Caused by the COVID-19 promulgated in 2020. The number of vaccination population was originally planned to be 38 million, and the first sum of 760 million baht was granted. If the service fee is raised to 40 baht/time, it is necessary to apply for another 760 million baht, totaling 1.52 billion baht.
