InfoQuest (May 27, 2021) - According to the Trade Policy and Strategy Office of the Ministry of Commerce, Thailand saw an export value of 21,429.27 million US dollars in May, up 13.09 percent from last year, thanks to the progress of global vaccination and economic stimulus policies of various countries. Excluding oil, gold and strategic materials, the export value of other commodities rose by 25.7 percent from last year, mirroring the recovery of the global economy.
In the first four months of this year, Thailand's exports totaled 85,577.3 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 4.78 percent; imports totaled 84,879.16 million US dollars, up 13.85 percent year-on-year. The trade surplus was 698.14 million US dollars.
