The Fifth China-Arab States Expo and Ningxia Helan Mountain Dong Lu wine-producing region promotion and wine-tasting party kicks off in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on May 19.
BEIJING, May 21 (Xinhua) –The Fifth China-Arab States Expo and Ningxia Helan mountain Dong Lu wine-producing region promotion and wine-tasting party was held in southwest China's Chongqing on May 19.
The event aimed to take full advantage of the favorable opportunities of the 3rd China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT) to further expand the influence of the China-Arab States Expo in Chongqing, enhance the attractiveness of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region's characteristic industries, facilitate the "going global" of Ningxia's famous and high-quality products and push forward the economic and trade cooperation between Ningxia and Chongqing.
Over the years, Ningxia has been rapidly transforming itself into a major wine-making region in China and the wine industry has become an important pillar in the region.

Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region boasts four major strengths, including resource endowment, the solid foundation for development of emerging industrial clusters, an open market orientated to western regions and benign business environment, Lai Jiao, vice chairman of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, introduced at the event, adding that the region will spare no effort to provide entrepreneurs with the most favorable policies and the best guarantees and services.

Xiong Xue, vice mayor of Chongqing, said that Chongqing would strengthen all-round cooperation with Ningxia, further carry forward cultural and economic exchanges and expand products sales in an attempt to achieve common development.
Chongqing can not live without Ningxia's agricultural and sideline resources, while Ningxia also needs Chongqing's potential consumer market, Wang Qianliu, general manager of Chongqing Agricultural Investment Group, adding that the company mulls over an investment scheme in Ningxia this year.
The Fifth China-Arab States Expo will be held in Yinchuan, capital of Ningxia, from August 19 to 22 this year. Chongqing will be invited as the theme province.
