BEIJING, April 29 (Xinhua) -- Digital China Holdings Limited (DC Holdings, 00861.HK), a Chinese big data technology and service vendor, signed a memorandum of understanding(MoU) on strategic cooperation with China Mobile International Limited (CMI), a leader in the information and communications sector, on Tuesday in Hong Kong to provide more diverse and multi-level digital services to governments and enterprises in Hong Kong and abroad, as well as to jointly tap overseas digital economy market, according to DC Holding's filing with the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited.
According to the MoU, both parties will work together in areas of big data services, artificial intelligence + Internet of Things (AIoT) services, smart supply chain services, security technology services and other fronts in the information and communications technology (ICT) industry integration service market so as to fuel clients' development in Hong Kong and abroad.
With continuous development of 5G and Internet of Things, the data generated by the connectivity between "people" and "products", as well as between "products" themselves is increasing rapidly. The improvement in accuracy and speed of data integration for its application to citizens, governments and industries is crucial to the development of the overall big data industry. Against this backdrop, the partnership between the big data-savvy DC Holdings and the ICT industry heavyweight CMI is highly anticipated, said experts.
Founded in 2000, DC Holdings is committed to providing big data services, software licensing and subscription services to empower smart city construction and digital transformation of industries.
As a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Mobile, one of China's leading telecommunication operators, CMI is responsible for the operation of China Mobile's international business, offering comprehensive international telecommunications services and solutions to enterprises, carriers and individual mobile users across the world.
