InfoQuest (April 27, 2021) - According to Mr. Prakob Vivitjinda, Director General of the Department of Industrial Works of Thailand, the Department has been exploring how to dispose of industrial waste products in factories according to the 3R principle. In response, the Industrial Waste Management Office of the Department will hold a project attended by 40 factories to improve the efficiency of industrial waste treatment in the fiscal year 2021.
The Department will popularize the 3R principle and the improvement method to participants, and urge them to follow the Circular Economy principle, the national 20-year strategic framework and the 12th national economic and social development plan to promote environment-friendly sustainable development.
Industrial development has led to resource consumption, pollution and waste. The Department has introduced a range of policies to support factories and encourage factories to follow the principle of Circular Economy and develop towards the goal of zero waste to landfill, said the Director General.
