BEIJING, March 15 (Xinhua) -- China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and east China's Jiangxi Province signed a cooperative framework agreement last Thursday for the joint construction of a pilot base for green organic agricultural products in Jiangxi.
Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs Tang Renjian noted that the ministry has attached great importance to the agricultural and rural economic development in Jiangxi. It will continue to provide great support for Jiangxi in terms of policies, projects and funds, actively promote the construction of a national base for green organic agricultural products in Jiangxi, and vigorously support Jiangxi's efforts in rural revitalization.
Yi Lianhong, governor of Jiangxi Province, said that Jiangxi has proposed to build itself into a national base for green organic agricultural products and facilitate rural revitalization in a comprehensive way during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025).
It is hoped that the ministry can continue to grant great support to Jiangxi in consolidating and expanding its achievements in poverty alleviation, pushing rural vitalization, and accelerating the modernization of agriculture and rural areas, Yi added.
According to the agreement, relying on Jiangxi's unique ecological environment and agricultural resources, the two sides will carry out system construction, base creation, industrial integration, brand building, technological service for green organic agricultural products, and strive to build Jiangxi Province into a pilot base for national green organic agricultural products.
