BEIJING, March 13 (Xinhua) -- Great Wall Motor, China's leading sport utility vehicle (SUV) and pickup manufacturer, registered a surge in its production and sales last month.
The company, headquartered in Baoding, north China's Hebei Province, sold a total of 89,050 cars in February, up 788.46 percent year on year, it said in a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Car production grew 749.07 percent year on year to 84,992 units, according to the statement.
In the first two months of this year, Great Wall Motor's sales of new energy vehicles amounted to 17,674 units, the statement said. Enditem
