BEIJING, March 9 (Xinhua) – The per capita disposable income of rural residents in southwest China's Yunnan hit 12,842 yuan in 2020, registering an average annual growth of 9.3 percent during 2016-2020, according to the local statistics bureau.
Compared with 2010, Yunnan's per capita disposable income of rural residents surged 134 percent after deducting the price impacts.
Thanks to China's poverty alleviation efforts, the per capita consumption expenditure of rural residents in Yunnan increased from 6,830 yuan in 2015 to 11,069 yuan in 2020, with an average annual growth of 10.1 percent.
Since 2016, Yunnan province has been committed to poverty alleviation and rural revitalization, promoting the development of eight key industries, such as modern agriculture with plateau characteristics, as well as tourism and culture.
In 2020 Yunan's per capita wage income of rural residents reached 3,975 yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 11.4 percent over the past five years, while its per capita net income of rural residents stood at 6,523 yuan.
The consumption level of rural residents in Yunan has also been improved. In 2020, the per capita consumption expenditure of rural residents in the province reached 11,069 yuan, a cumulative increase of 62.1 percent since 2015.
