BEIJING, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Guiyang, capital city of southwest China's Guizhou province, also known as the country's big data valley, will step up efforts to cultivate three 100-billion-yuan big data industrial clusters of data centers, electronic information manufacturing, software and information technology services in 2021, according to an announcement released by the Guiyang Bureau of Big Data Development and Management on its official website on Wednesday.
The move aims to accelerate the development of big data sector in Guiyang and promote new breakthroughs in digital industries, said the announcement.
In building the data center cluster, Guiyang will actively apply for the construction of state-level nodes of the national integrated data center. It also plans to build more than 14 ultra-large data centers in the Gui'an new area.
Regarding electronic information manufacturing, Guiyang will focus on the manufacturing of equipment represented by servers.
In respect of software and information technology services, Guiyang will prioritize building industrial ecosystems for industrial internet, home-grown databases, cloud services, big data-based human resource services, data security, and big data-backed healthcare.
In order to facilitate the construction of the three clusters, Guiyang will build national platforms for computing services, transaction services, security services and human resource development services, said Wu Hongchun, Director of Guiyang Bureau of Big Data Development and Management.
