BEIJING, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- North China's Tianjin Municipality recently allocated the first batch of special funds of 199 million yuan to support the new intelligent manufacturing projects in Tianjin, reported by Tianjin Daily on Saturday.
In August 2020, Tianjin Municipal Government carried out relevant policies and measures to support the development of intelligent manufacturing, requiring greater support for intelligent transformation projects which stimulate investment and have obvious benefits.
According to the measures, Tianjin will also support the information technology application and innovation, 5G, blockchain, integrated circuits and other industries, building a green manufacturing system with efficient use of fiscal funds.
Since October this year, a new batch of 1,700 smart manufacturing projects have been submitted for preliminary review in Tianjin and 815 projects were given support with total special fiscal funds of 1.568 billion yuan, including 803 million yuan at the municipal level and 765 million yuan at the district level.
For the next step, the Tianjin Finance Bureau will work with the competent authorities to closely monitor the projects' implementation and performance, increase the effectiveness of intelligent manufacturing policies and social capital linkages, and build a strong manufacturing city with consolidated industrial foundation.
