BEIJING, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- The State Council, China's cabinet, has recently approved establishment of the Kaifeng Comprehensive Bonded Zone in central China's Henan Province.
The Kaifeng Comprehensive Bonded Zone will be located in the central area of the Kaifeng Area of China (Henan) Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ), with a planned total area of 1.785 square kilometers.
The bonded zone enjoys outstanding location advantages, with convenient logistics and transportation channels. Within a one-hour drive, it is close to Xinzheng International Airport and the Zhengzhou international land port which links Zhengzhou with the European countries via the China-Europe freight trains.
After the completion, the bonded zone will focus on the development of six industries including processing trade, cultural industries, bonded R&D, modern logistics, international trade, and innovative services, and strive to built itself into a core area for foreign trade development in Kaifeng.
It is learned that the comprehensive bonded zone is the special customs supervision area with the highest level of openness, the most favorable policies and the most complete functions in China's inland areas, except the FTZ.
At present, Henan has three national first-class ports, five comprehensive free trade zones, four bonded logistics centers, nine major functional ports and a major government customs clearance platform that serves the cross-border e-commerce transactions.
