CHONGQING, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- The foreign trade in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality reached 589.4 billion yuan (about 90.18 billion U.S. dollars) in the first 11 months of 2020, up 12.1 percent year on year, local customs said Sunday.
The data showed exports in Chongqing during the first 10 months increased by 12.2 percent to 379.45 billion yuan, while imports grew 12 percent to 209.95 billion yuan.
In November, foreign trade in Chongqing reached a new high of 66.64 billion yuan for the year, representing a year-on-year increase of 18.7 percent.
Over the past 11 months, imports and exports with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations increased by 5.4 percent to 102.49 billion yuan, while imports and exports to the EU and the United States totaled 97.51 billion yuan and 96.94 billion yuan respectively, up 11.3 percent and 7.2 percent.
Electronic information products such as laptops, integrated circuits and mobile phones were still the main import and export goods in Chongqing in the period. Enditem
