BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- An online publicity activity themed on China's Bayu Culture was launched on Tuesday in Banan District, southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, aiming to deepen people's understanding of Bayu culture and provide audience a cultural feast.
The activity will last until December 30 during which H5 special pages, live broadcasts, cultural picture and drawing publicities, and Bayu Culture themed rap MV will be launched by 11 cities and counties in Sichuan and Chongqing with more than 30 Bayu cultural projects to be displayed intensively.
As one of the most distinctive national cultures in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River, Bayu Culture enjoys a large number of intangible cultural heritages with precious historical and cultural values such as Shu embroidery.
The activity is expected to let Bayu's national intangible cultures rejuvenate with the help of the internet, and make its characteristic cultural and sports events attract more audiences in the new era.
Banan held this activity jointly with 10 cities and counties in Chengdu and Chongqing to vividly present the unique Bayu Culture that combines intangible cultural heritage and modern elements, highlighting the cultural complementation and integration of Chengdu and Chongqing, said Feng Yimei, deputy head of Banan District.
As one of the central urban areas of Chongqing's main city, Banan has accumulated profound Bayu Culture with a history of 3000 years.
The first cloud live broadcast of the themed activity will kick off Wednesday on Mudong Old Street in Banan District. Audience can not only visit and learn about the intangible cultural heritage by participating offline, but also watch the broadcast online through Xinhua Silk Road platform and China Travel TV.
