BEIJING, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- China's express delivery industry, the backbone of the postal service, registered robust growth in business volume since September, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported on Tuesday.
According to the report, the sector handled over 70 billion parcels nationwide as of November 16, a spike from 50 billion parcels three months ago.
An official from the State Post Bureau said that the sector is expected to handle over 80 billion parcels in total this year.
In the first ten months of this year, the express delivery firms made 64.38 deliveries, an increase of 29.6 percent year on year.
