HANGZHOU, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- A total of eight Italian movies, including five documentaries, will be screened during an ongoing three-week cultural event to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the People's Republic of China and Italy.
Notable documentaries like "Water Lilies of Monet - The Magic of Water and Light" and the "Van Gogh: Tra il Grano e il Cielo" were already screened at the event that kicked off Saturday in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province.
Three films, including "La Strada," by the renowned Italian director Federico Fellini are also part of the screenings, said Wang Jing, an organizer of the event.
Alberto Manai, head of the Consulate General of Italy's culture division in Shanghai, said 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the birth of Fellini, and the best way to commemorate him is to show his works that won him fame. Enditem
