BEIJING, Nov. 4 (Xinhua)-- China's service-oriented manufacturing has entered a stage of rapid development with east China gaining the best momentum, reported Shanghai Securities News Wednesday quoting a industrial index report.
The index report on regional develoment of service-oriented manufacturing industry was released by the China Service-oriented Manufacturing Alliance at the China Service-oriented Manufacturing Conference 2020 held Tuesday in Hangzhou, capital city of east China's Zhejiang Province.
According to the report, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Guangdong, Sichuan, Fujian, Anhui, Liaoning, Yunnan, Hebei provinces and Shanghai Municipality are the top ten regions in terms of the 2020 service-oriented manufacturing regional development index.
Zhejiang ranks first in terms of industrial ecology, development achievements and degree of integration of service-oriented manufacturing by relying on its fast-growing new productive service industries and its advantages in digital economy, said the report.
Developing service-oriented manufacturing is conducive to coping with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, promoting the recovery and high-quality development of the manufacturing sector, and creating a more modernized industrial chain, said Wang Jiangping, vice minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
Service-oriented manufacturing is a new mode integrating manufacturing and service, an effective way to reshape the manufacturing value chain, and an important direction for manufacturing development, said Gao Xingfu, vice governor of Zhejiang at the conference.
He added that from January to September this year, the manufacturing network sales of Zhejiang exceeded 1.2 trillion yuan.
According to the China Service-oriented Manufacturing Alliance, 21 provinces in China have introduced supportive policies on service-oriented manufacturing, and 16 provinces in China have issued fiscal support policies to push up the development of the sector.
