MILAN, Oct. 26 (Class Editori) - The idea is to open a new production hub in China next year. However, this is not the only news concerning the Chinese market for the Vigel company from Borgaro Torinese, which is willing to invest in order to better serve the great international customers in the automotive sector. The mechatronics company, specialized in the production of multi-spindle working systems, led by the CEO Fabrizio Lodovico Pesce, has been active in China, in Suzhou, since 2010. Here, the Vigel Technical Service Co., Ltd. ensures business support, assistance and spare parts in a key market. Now, the moment to take a leap in quality has come.
"We have always been very aggressive in conquering new markets and acquiring new customers. The secret of our success has always been the openness to international markets. The fast changes imposed by the globalization market have been an important evidence of this business strategy and a strong boost to take a step forward, which today allows Vigel to be active in the main markets of reference", as Pesce, grandson of one of the three founders, has explained.
Apart from the hub in Turin, Vigel has been owning factories in Pune, India, since 2007 (300 employees in overall) and a service network which covers Europe, America (since 2000), and Mexico (since 2013).
The development plan in these weeks has experienced a strong acceleration, thanks to a big order worth about 6 million, coming from the automotive company Tesla. The company from Piedmont will provide innovative systems to the Californian factory of the Elon Musk group, which has just opened its new store for the electric cars' sale in Turin: it is a structural component of the new Tesla cars, designed to drastically reduce the number of structural pieces- from 70 to one- by now used in the standard concept of car.
"We have won this bet right in a difficult period such as the lockdown: the short deadlines imposed for the creation of machines and their strategy for Tesla have mostly involved our team", as Pesce has explained. With over 5,000 working plants and special machineries installed, Vigel has reached a turnover which overcomes €50 million with an export equal to 90% of sales.
The Vigel supply started in the first days of October from Caselle airport, addressed to the American Musk's factories, on two Antonov, among the biggest cargos worldwide. However, this is not the first time that the company from Borgaro Torinese lands in the USA: in the past, it had already worked with General Motors.
Vigel was founded in 1947 by three business partners, from which the name comes: VIotti GEninant and Leone. For many years, Vigel working plants have globally been standard production systems, extremely innovative, flexible and highly efficient, able to reduce to a minimum the positioning, in order to fulfil the processing of the components to be supplied.
