BEIJING, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- The 2020 China 5G+ Industrial Internet Conference, jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and Hubei Provincial People's Government, will be held in Wuhan, capital city of central China's Hubei Province, from November 19 to November 21.
Many new 5G technologies and application scenarios such as data collection and perception, high-definition video, machine vision and digital twin will make debut at the conference, according to the MIIT vice minister Liu Liehong.
In recent years, China's industrial Internet has gained a rapid development. According to statistics from MIIT, by far, a total of 690,000 5G base stations have been put into operation nationwide. The number of base stations for industrial use has exceeded 32,000, with the application scope constantly extending to the core links of manufacturing.
Liu Liehong noted that the conference will be conducted both online and offline. Participants will discuss the measures for the integrated development of "5G + Industrial Internet," share the practices of key 5G technologies in the industrial field, and explore the integrated innovative development path of 5G with artificial intelligence, big data and blockchain.
