BEIJING, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com signed a cooperation agreement with the government of east China's Anhui province last Sunday in Hefei, Anhui to boost the province's construction of an international air cargo distribution center.
The two sides will carry out practical cooperation projects, based on their respective advantages and needs, in areas such as accelerating the construction of aviation infrastructure and freight hubs, developing airport economy, general aviation industry and aviation logistics industry, according to the agreement.
Efforts will be made to speed up implementing the cooperation projects in an efficient and high-quality way so as to promote the synergized development of logistics hubs and industrial parks and build a more stable system of industrial chain and supply chain, said Wang Zhenhui, senior executive vice president of JD.com.
JD.com has maintained a close partnership with Anhui province in recent years. Since the signing of a strategic cooperation agreement in 2016, the two sides have made remarkable achievements in the fields of logistics infrastructure construction, e-commerce, and digital technology.
