BEIJING, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- East China's Jiangxi Province signed on Tuesday a strategic cooperation agreement with China's ride-hailing giant DiDi Chuxing (Didi) to carry out in-depth cooperation in the field of travel platforms, data centers, and smart transportation, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported on Wednesday.
According to the agreement, the cooperation will give full play to both Didi's strengths in big data, artificial intelligence, autonomous driving and intelligent connected vehicles, as well as Jiangxi's advantages in the fields of ecology, resources, policies, and location.
The cooperation aims to build Jiangxi into a demonstration area for smart and green transportation, and help the province add more flexible jobs through Didi's platform to further stabilize employment and pick up the economy.
Cheng Wei, CEO of DiDi, said that Didi will continue expanding its investment in the province, promote the construction of more operating and R&D centers, jointly explore the building of the demonstration area for smart cities in Jiangxi.
