BEIJING, Sept. 22 (Xinhua) -- A flight arrived at the Xinzheng International Airport on Monday evening in Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, marking that Cambodia Angkor Air's Zhengzhou-Phnom Penh international flight was officially opened, reported by Chinanews.com on Monday.
As a country with time-honored history and civilization, Cambodia has the largest temple-like building in the world, the famous world cultural heritage Angkor Wat. In recent years, the number of Chinese travelers in Cambodia has increased rapidly, reaching 2.3 million in 2019.
Since 2018, China's Henan Province has continuously increased its pace of opening up and has made more economic and trade, cultural and tourism exchanges with Cambodia.
The Zhengzhou-Phnom Penh international flight newly opened is expected to bring more opportunities to the cultural exchanges between the two places and help the economic and trade development of the central China and the Indochina Peninsula.
