ZHENGZHOU, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Foreign trade of central China's Henan Province rose 9.5 percent to 323.51 billion yuan (about 47.52 billion U.S. dollars) in the first eight months of this year, local authorities said.
From January to August, the province's exports reached 206.64 billion yuan, up 7.7 percent year on year, and its imports totaled 116.87 billion yuan, up 12.8 percent, according to Zhengzhou customs.
In August alone, Henan's imports and exports reached 47.23 billion yuan, up 11 percent year on year.
During the January-August period, Henan's trade volume with the European Union reached 47.79 billion yuan, surging 76 percent, and its trade volume with the ASEAN hit 44.8 billion yuan, up 13.7 percent. Enditem
