BEIJING, Sept. 15 (Xinhua) -- Construction of new infrastructure such as 5G networks and data centers in China are expected to generate a market scale worth more than 100 billion yuan (about 14.69 billion U.S. dollars) for the network security, according to industry insiders, quoted by Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News on Tuesday.
New infrastructure involves digital transformation of the entire social scenarios and the requirements for security come from different levels of all walks of life, from infrastructure to digital platforms, and then to industry applications. Trillions of funds will be invested in the new infrastructure and thus at least 100 billion yuan of market scale will be created for the network security, said Chen Huaping, a partner of Qi An Xin Group, a leading security provider in China.
Against such a background, many network security providers in China have flocked to the market for opportunities.
For example, in March this year, Qi An Xin Group rolled out a new generation of network security framework for new infrastructure.
"At present, through the guidance of the framework, five- or three-year cybersecurity plans for dozens of key customers are underway, which will lay the foundation for development of their security systems," said Chen.
According to Ding Ke, vice president of Tencent, a tech giant in China, cloud has become the main battlefield for security offense and defense. At present, Tencent Security has released the cloud-based native security protection system to build a complete cloud security protection architecture involving security governance, data security, application security, computing security and network security.
Wangsu Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (300017.SZ) is increasing its investment in the field of cloud security. By relying on the edge security advantages of the content delivery network (CDN) and massive node resources, and driven by big data analysis and mining and artificial intelligence (AI), the company aims to create a powerful intelligent edge cloud security platform, said Lv Shibiao, vice president of Wangsu Science & Technology.
