BEIJING, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) – China will build a new generation of national artificial intelligence (AI) innovative development pilot zone in Guangzhou, south China's Guangdong Province, People's Daily reported on Friday.
In a letter to the Guangdong provincial government, China's Ministry of Science and Technology said that it will fully support Guangzhou in the construction of the pilot zone.
The pilot zone will focus on the major national strategies and the needs of Guangzhou's economic and social development, explore new paths and mechanisms for the new-generation AI development, and lead the socio-economic development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
