BEIJING, Sept. 8 (Xinhua) -- Profits of industrial enterprises with main business revenue of 20 million yuan and above in China's Hunan Province rose 2.3 percent year on year to 103.687 billion yuan in the January-July period, ranking the 10th in the country, reported by Hunan Daily on Monday.
The overall operating income of Hunan's industries has rebounded significantly since the beginning of July. According to Hunan Provincial Bureau of Statistics, the province's industrial operating income increased by 0.8 percent year on year in the first seven months of 2020, with the growth rate turning positive for the first time during this year.
With the overall upward trend, 38 industries among the 39 major industries in Hunan Province have achieved profitability, reaching the highest level this year.
In the January-July period, the manufacturing industry has given full play to its important role, achieving a total profit of 97.2 billion yuan, accounting for more than 93.7 percent of the province's total industrial profit. Among them, the profit of special equipment manufacturing, computer communications and other electronic equipment manufacturing,and general equipment manufacturing reached 23.92 billion yuan, 7.59 billion yuan and 5.27 billion yuan respectively, with the year-on-year increase of 45.4 percent, 96.9 percent and 23.5 percent.
