BEIJING, Sept. 7 (Xinhua) -- China Ice and Snow Tourism Development Index for 2020 reflecting the development of the country's ice and snow tourism industry was officially launched at the World Winter Sports (Beijing) Expo 2020 in Beijing on Sunday.
The index as a component of the China ice and snow tourism Changbai Mountain index system compiled by China Economic Information Service (CEIS) will provide references for the ice and snow tourism destination construction of the market players and the decision-making of the regulators, based on a comprehensive analysis of development of the ice and snow tourism destinations sampled.
According to the index this year, China's ice and snow tourism industry has entered a stage of sound development, but there is still room for improvement in transports, safety and health. Thanks to favorable climate and developed infrastructure, northeast China enjoys unique advantages in developing the ice and snow sports tourism.
