CHENGDU, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- A freight train carrying tonnes of cargo including electronic products and daily necessities departed Wednesday from Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, for Tilburg, the Netherlands.
The cargo train brought the accumulative trips made by China-Europe freight trains on the Chengdu route to 6,000 since the route was launched in 2013, according to the administrative committee of the Chengdu International Railway Port.
The China-Europe freight trains on the Chengdu route have transported goods worth nearly 200 billion yuan (about 29 billion U.S. dollars), it added.
The international freight train service connects Chengdu with 55 overseas cities and 16 Chinese cities. Enditem
