NANCHANG, Aug. 14 (Xinhua) -- East China's Jiangxi Province signed on Wednesday an agreement with iFLYTEK Co. Ltd, a Chinese information technology company on strategic cooperation in fields of artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR), reported Jiangxi Daily.
According to the agreement, by making full use of iFLYTEK's core technology in intelligent voice and AI and giving a full display of Jiangxi's strategic development plan and supporting resources in AI, VR, 5G and other emerging industries, the two sides will jointly carry out an in-depth cooperation in AI, VR industry innovation cultivation and services, demonstration applications in key industries and talent training.
The move is aimed at improving Jiangxi's scientific and technological innovation capability and industrial development level.
Yi Lianhong, governor of Jiangxi Province, noted that Jiangxi is accelerating the transformation and upgrading of strategic emerging industries including electronics Information. The two sides are expected to make full use of this opportunity to generate fruitful achievements. Meanwhile, Jiangxi will strive to create a sound environment to facilitate companies like iFLYTEK to invest and seek development in Jiangxi.
Liu Qingfeng, president of iFLYTEK, said that the company will apply its core advantage to enhance strategic cooperation with Jiangxi, jointly cultivate industrial ecology of AI and VR, promote continuous development of Jiangxi's electronic information industry, and help the province to realize a high-quality development.
