Abstract : An air route linking the city of Yanji in northeast China's Jilin Province and Daegu in the Republic of Korea (ROK) will resume operations on Aug. 20, according to the government of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.

CHANGCHUN, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- An air route linking the city of Yanji in northeast China's Jilin Province and Daegu in the Republic of Korea (ROK) will resume operations on Aug. 20, according to the government of Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture.

The air route will be flown by a Boeing 737-800 airplane every Thursday, from Aug. 20 to Oct. 24, with up to 140 seats on each flight.

Passengers who fly to the ROK will transit in Daegu and enter the country at the Incheon International Airport, according to ROK's epidemic prevention policy.

All international flights at the Yanji Chaoyangchuan International Airport were suspended in late March due to the COVID-19 epidemic.

The airport has received flight resumption plans from both Chinese and ROK airlines.

In 2019, the Yanji airport handled 1.66 million passengers, 715,455 of whom were international. In the past five years, the airport has opened 26 international and domestic air routes. Enditem
