BEIJING, Aug. 6 (Xinhua) -- The first batch of Fujian-made wind turbines were exported to countries along the Belt and Road routes from an international industrial park funded by China Three Gorges Corporation in Fujian, realizing a new breakthrough in Fujian's high-end equipment manufacturing industry export.
It is learned that two 3.4 MW wind turbines made by Goldwind are supplied to Turkey's largest decentralized wind power project, the Yucel project, and will provide green energy for local steel plants, farms and cold storage.
Since signing a strategic cooperation agreement with Fujian Province in June 2015, China Three Gorges Corporation has actively implemented its offshore wind power development strategy and promoted the construction of world's largest offshore wind power base and a world-class offshore wind power equipment manufacturing base.
China is taking the lead in wind power worldwide, however the export of wind turbines accounts for a small proportion of the overall market share. In March this year, Goldwind's Fujian base passed the factory certification of the global authority DNV-GL, becoming the second intelligent equipment manufacturing base with export conditions after the one in Jiangsu Dafeng.
