YINCHUAN, July 27 (Xinhua) – Northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region has introduced a series of policies to improve the business environment and stabilize industrial and supply chains in an effort to provide better service to market entities and spur the vitality of market players.
In the first half of this year, Ningxia saw its market entities reach 639,000, up 5 percent year on year.
Wang Junlan, vice director of the regional development and reform commission, noted that Ningxia rolled out a raft of tax-cutting measures for market entities in the first half of this year.
According to Wang, the region cut taxes and fees paid by market entities by 7.78 bilion yuan during the period.
Besides, the region has reduced the electricity price of enterprise users except those in high energy consuming sectors by 5 percent, benefiting 360,000 enterprises and cutting the electricity consumption cost of enterprises by about 596 million yuan.
In order to create a benign development environment for market players, Ningxia has step up effort to ensure the stability of industrial and supply chains.
Up to now, Ningxia has seen 99 percent of industrial enterprises each with main business revenue of 20 million yuan and above resume operation.
