CHANGCHUN, July 19 (Xinhua) -- The 17th China Changchun International Automobile Expo, one of the country's major expos in the auto industry, concluded Sunday with a transaction volume of 10.3 billion yuan (1.47 billion U.S. dollars).
The 10-day event in Changchun, capital of northeast China's Jilin Province, attracted 293,000 visitors and 575,000 online audience. More than 1,400 vehicles from 150 brands were on display both offline and online.
The expo had an exhibition area of 150,000 square meters. Over 50,000 vehicles were sold during the event.
Due to COVID-19, the event attached great importance to epidemic prevention to ensure the safety of participants, said the organizer.
China's auto market maintained recovery momentum last month. The total output reached 2.33 million units in June, up 22.5 percent year on year, while sales hit 2.3 million units, up 11.6 percent, according to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers. Enditem
