BEIJING, July 9 (Xinhua) -- China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd. (600115.SH) has recently received A rating from Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) ESG (environmental, social, and governance) Ratings, upgrading from previous BBB rating in 2019 and BB rating in 2018.
China Eastern Airlines is one of the five airlines that received A rating out of the 18 global airlines MSCI ESG Ratings has rated.
According to MSCI ESG Ratings report on China Eastern Airlines, the Chinese company scores higher than industry average in categories material to airline industry such as "Corporate Governance", "Product Safety & Quality" and stands out as industry leader in "Carbon Emissions" and "Privacy & Data Security".
