BEIJING, July 7 (Xinhua) -- North China's Tianjin Municipality ramps up 23 measures to bolster the high-quality of trade development, reported Tianjin Daily Monday.
By implementing the measures, Tianjin aims to achieve the country's leading per capital trade in goods and services by 2022, and to form a core advantage of trade competition that integrates technology, standards, brands, quality and services.
According to the measures, Tianjin will deepen the trade cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road, organize enterprises to participate in online digital exhibitions, accelerate the construction of an international marketing system, build an overseas project contracting base in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, and support high-end equipment in going global.
Efforts should be made to strengthen competitive industrial advantages, improve the quality and technical level of export products, and cultivate international independent brands to enhance the research and development (R&D) level of advanced manufacturing in Tianjin.
Relying on its unique port advantages, Tianjin will build import distribution centers for energy and resources commodities, advanced technology and equipment, and consumer goods, an international financial leasing gathering area as well as a cold chain supply base for imported food.
Tianjin pledges to expand financial support for small and micro foreign trade companies and optimize the function of Free Trade (FT) accounts to serve foreign trade enterprises better. In the meantime, it will also step efforts to facilitate the policy-oriented export credit insurance business.
As a free trade pilot zone (FTZ), Tianjin will cooperate with the advantageous industrial parks in Beijing and Hebei and expand the general export of cross-border e-commerce.
It is noted that a total of 3,000 new foreign trade companies and 30 platforms and headquarters of trading enterprises are expected to be set up in Tianjin by 2022.
