BEIJING, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Central China's Hunan province is going to introduce 497 provincial projects to the world at the 2020 Hunan-Yangtze River Delta Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference Week launched online in the provincial capital Changsha, targeting to attact total investment of 1.8 trillion yuan.
During the opening ceremony, 27 key projects with a total investment of 58.26 billion yuan were contracted, covering advanced manufacturing, new infrastructure, health, modern service industries and other fields.
In recent years, Hunan has made remarkable achievements in opening-up and trade development. In 2019, the province's actual investment funds exceeded 800 billion yuan with an increase of 18.5 percent compared with 2018 and its growth rate of total imports and exports ranked first in China.
The Conference Week is an important platform to further leverage Hunan's advantages as a province along the Belt and Road with an ideal position to serve as a bridge for the east and the west and to grasp the opportunities of relocation of industries and development of central and western provinces.
In the coming days, four special promotion fairs will be held during the Conference Week, namely the Hunan Electronic Information Industry Promotion and Match-Making Event for the Comprehensive Bonded Zone, Changsha Airport Trade Cooperation Promotion, Hunan Digital Countryside Conference and China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Mechanism Promotion in Shanghai.
