BEIJING, June 8 (Xinhua) -- China has issued a report on the implementation of a five-year plan on its rural vitalization strategy, outlining progress made in the first two years of 2018 and 2019.
The report was compiled by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Development and Reform Commission, and other institutions, according to a statement released by the ministry Monday.
It summarizes the practices, achievements and experiences in implementing the plan in 2018 and 2019, as local departments highlighted the five-year plan and the 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland all set up leading groups for implementation.
The foundation of modern agriculture has been cemented, and the supply of grain and other important agricultural products has been strengthened, with the annual grain output staying above 650 billion kg for five years in a row, the report said. Enditem
