BEIJING, June 6 (Xinhua) -- China's e-commerce logistics business increased steadily in May, according to a survey released by the China Logistics and Purchasing Federation and Chinese online retailer JD.
The index tracking e-commerce logistics activities rose by 0.5 points over April to reach 107.5 points in May.
Sub-indices showed improving efficiency, inventory turnover and e-commerce logistics demand in rural areas.
But the total demand for e-commerce logistics fell slightly. The sub-index tracking the total business volume was 119.9 points in May, down 0.2 points from the previous month.
