BEIJING, May 28(Xinhua) -- China's WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Limited (WISDRI) have contracted to undertake construction of high-end electrical steel capl units for Russian steel giant Novolipetsk Steel Company (NLMK) in new energy vehicles production, announced the company on its website.
The units will apply Chinese cold-rolled silicon steel technology and high-end cold-rolled complete equipment, breaking the monopoly of European companies in Russian silicon steel market.
NLMK is one of the top steel producers in the world, as well as the largest silicon steel producer in Russia.
Under the agreement, WISDRI will use digital delivery methods, relying on independent core technologies, intelligent control and green manufacturing technologies to create overseas smart silicon steel capl units project.
The undertaking of the NLMK high-end electrical steel project in Russia marks another important achievement of WISDRI in Russian market. Since 2007,WISDRI has successively established cooperative relations with Russian steel giants such as Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works and Severstal.
