BEIJING, May 14 (Xinhua) -- The official website of the 18th Gymnasiade (https://www.jinjiang2020.cn) both in Chinese and English versions was officially put online on Wednesday.
The website, constructed from June 2019 to February 2020, aims to present the event by providing information and services through a new channel, helping friends at home and abroad to learn more about the Gymnasiade and China.
The website offers six sections namely Home page, Press Center, Event Center, Jinjiang, China, About Us, and Service Center, of which relevant information concerning media, volunteers, and ticketing are available under the Service Center.
According to the designer of the website, its design inspiration came from the bidding logo of the 18th Gymnasiade as well as the logo of the International School Sport Federation (ISF).
Established in 1974 with the ISF as the host, the Gymnasiade is an international multi-sport event dedicated to worldwide middle school students aged 13 to 18.
In October 2017, Jinjiang, a county-level city in southeast China's Fujian Province, had won the right to host the 18th Gymnasiade in October 2020.
The official website of the 18th Gymnasiade was built by Xinhua Silk Road of the China Economic Information Service under Xinhua News Agency.
Launched in July 2015, Xinhua Silk Road has developed into a multilingual information platform, investment adviser and think tank in China, providing online full-process consulting and offline services for all parties of the Belt and Road construction.
