BEIJING, May 12 (Xinhua) -- China's tech giant Huawei together with 18 automobile enterprises recently launched the 5G automobile ecosystem to speed up 5G application in the automotive industry, said Huawei on its website.
The automotive companies in the partnership include FAW Group, Changan Auto, Dongfeng Motor Corporation, SAIC Motor, GAC Group, BAIC Group, BYD, Great Wall Motors, Chery, JAC Motors and SERES.
It's widely believed that integrating 5G technology into automobile making is the new trend and the future of automotive industry development. The high speed and reliability, and low latency brought by the 5G technology will create a new space for scenarios such as intelligent networking, smart traffic and automatic driving.
Since it released the 5G vehicle module MH5000 in April 2019, Huawei has provided many automakers with multiple products and technologies and they have started innovation in automatic driving, intelligent networking and information service based on Huawei's vehicle communication products and solutions.
After the 5G automobile ecosystem is established, Huawei will contribute more technologies, platforms and ideas to the ecosystem and provide better service for its partners in the automotive industry.
