BEIJING, May 12 (Xinhua) -- China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec), China's largest oil refiner, signed on Monday a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with China National Offshore Oil Corporation(CNOOC), according to a statement issued by Sinopec Monday on its official website.
Under the agreement, the two parties will give full play to their respective advantages in an attempt to promote win-win cooperation and forge a comprehensive and in-depth strategic cooperative relationship.
According to the statement, the two companies have a solid foundation for cooperation and have carried out extensive, long-term and friendly cooperation in various fields such as oil refining and chemical engineering, natural gas, exploration and development, and engineering and technical services.
In recent years, the two sides have strictly implemented the country's new energy security strategy and stepped up efforts to push forward the construction of natural gas production, supply, storage and marketing system.
